How Does PROFHILO® Structural Work

The product uses NAHYCO Hybrid technology to combine high and low molecular weight hyaluronic acid which targets specifically the superficial fat layers of the face addressing the loss of volume and facial drooping/descent that occurs with aging.
It is designed for deeper structural remodelling and subtly augments, regenerates and repositions the dynamic superficial facial fat pads under the skin and above the muscle layers without triggering any inflammatory response this is the first product that has had and been licensed for this specific indication. Unlike traditional fillers that offer mechanical lifting and volumising effects, PROFHILO® Structura provides a restorative pathway that the body recognises as natural.

PROFHILO® vs PROFHILO® Structura

Both agents use advanced hyaluronic acid technology but differ in their composition have separate indications and proffer different clinical results. PROFHILO® is injected into the dermis of the skin to provide tissue restoration enhancing skin firmness, texture and hydration without any volumisation by awakening dormant fibroblast function. Structura on the other hand is designed for deeper structural remodelling.  It is injected deeper into the subcutaneous fat layers of the face apt into the skin to regenerate and reposition facial fat. This makes Structura a good choice for clients seeking a more contoured and lifted facial profile.

Both treatments offer distinct benefits and target differing skin concerns and treatment goals but may be combined for a more holistic and comprehensive approach to address the aging process.

What to Expect  During Treatment.

Injections are administered via using a cannulae in the upper cheek area referencing a specific protocol that assesses facial structure including skin density, hollows, skin laxity and mid-face projection.  The procedure takes around 20 to 30 minutes and is minimally invasive with no downtime so clients can resume normal daily activities immediately after their treatment.

Two treatments are recommended 4 weeks apart and then an ongoing maintenance treatment every 6 months.

Who is PROFHILO® Structura Indicated For?

Structure is indicated for clients experiencing mid-face volume loss or skin laxity due to
Ageing or weight loss. It is suitable for both men and women.

As we age the changes seen in our faces can be split into two profiles …” sinkers” and “saggers”.

“Sinkers” typically show a sunken or hollow look as a result of the depletion of fatty tissue in the cheeks making the face look gaunt and aged.

“Saggers” demonstrate tissue droop and fat bulges. The tissues appear to slide away from the deeper bony structures leading to increased skin laxative and sagging. This might result in a more aged look, especially in the lower face.

Structura can effectively manage both their ageing profiles …restoring the lost volume in “sinkers” or proffering lift and tightening of sagging tissues in “saggers”.  The protocol and injection technique is significantly different for each group so it is vital that an accurate clinical assessment is performed prior to treatment to ensure the best possible results are achieved.
