Anti Wrinkle Solutions
What is Botox?
BOTOX® Dysport® and Xeomin® are the three forms of Injectable Botulinum available in New Zealand.
This is a particularly effective treatment for softening and reducing wrinkles such as frown lines on the forehead and brow areas of the face and "crows feet" lines. It does not harm the muscles or nerves but simply blocks the signals from the nerves to the muscles so that the muscles are relaxed and unable to contract fully. The area remains relaxed and the wrinkles are appreciably softened as a result. These treatments are becoming more popular as they offer a simple, low risk and effective option for reducing facial wrinkles, giving our patients a more relaxed and refreshed appearance. Carefully selected areas of the face can be gently injected, with minimal discomfort, to relax the targeted muscles that create lines and wrinkles offer our clients a younger more refreshed appearance, and prevent further deepening of these wrinkle lines. These agents have been administered worldwide to many millions of patients with a well-established record of safety and efficacy. Medical uses of these products include excessive sweating and blepharospasm (eyelid twitching), headaches, and tooth grinding as well as for cosmetic indications. When considering your facial enhancement options, Botulinum treatments are quite affordable and many people are surprised at the relative cost of the treatment compared to other appearance-related investments.
