Dr. Colin Helm

Dr. Colin Helm is originally from the Highlands of Scotland, but he and his family have been living in New Zealand for the past 26 years. He graduated from Glasgow University in Scotland in 1992 and obtained joint General Practice Fellowship qualifications in both New Zealand and the UK.

Dr. Helm has been a GP in New Zealand for 15 years, but 12 years ago he developed an interest in Appearance Medicine. He has transitioned from being a General Practitioner and actively involved in Pharmaceutical Clinical Research Trial work to focusing on and further developing his interests in Appearance Medicine and Skin Cancer surgery.

He is a fully accredited member of the New Zealand Society of Cosmetic Medicine (NZSCM) and holds a Diploma in Cosmetic Medicine. Dr. Helm was honoured with the "Ralph Saxe Award" for being the most outstanding student in his final year of training for the Diploma. He is currently involved in teaching in the NZSCM training program and has been appointed to their Faculty of Education. Additionally, he currently holds a position as a Medical Trainer for the pharmaceutical company "Xytide"

Dr. Helm also has a strong interest in skin conditions, including skin cancer and skin cancer surgery. He is a fully accredited member of the Skin Cancer College of Australasia and has completed further training in skin cancer diagnosis, dermatoscopy, and advanced medical and surgical treatment options for skin cancer.

Dr Colin Helm is an accredited member of the New Zealand Society of Cosmetic Medicine (NZSCM).
In recent years he has been awarded a position as a Facilitator in the Training Program through the Society’s Educational Faculty.
All doctors belonging to NZSCM have achieved a Diploma in Cosmetic Medicine ensures they have reached the highest level of competence. The diploma involves lectures, hands-on workshops, and written and practical exams.
